Love, Life & Leadership

Greetings, Beautiful Women of the Word,

As we step boldly into a new era, many of us are finding ourselves drawn to deeper insights and a heightened connection with the world around us. The shifting climate of our nation, the state of the church, and our relationships with God and family have taken center stage in our lives. When I reflect on predictions about the years ahead—discussions of famine, wars, civil unrest, and the possibility of a new world order—I find myself pondering what the future may hold. These conversations can, at times, feel overwhelming.

In prayer, as I brought these concerns before God, He reminded me of His unwavering presence. He promised that He will never leave nor forsake us and that He remains fully committed to His remnant. God reassured me that His people can flourish, even in times of uncertainty. What a comfort it is to know that the God of Heaven is right by our side! He will keep every promise, shield us from harm, and allow favorable outcomes to unfold in our lives.

Over the past few weeks, Psalm 91 has become a cornerstone of my morning devotions. Its words not only offer peace but also provide clear guidance on how to experience the fulfillment of God’s promises.

First, “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty” (Psalm 91:1). This verse reminds us that God has prepared a sacred place for those He calls His own. When we dwell there, we experience His protection, comfort, and care (Psalm 27:5).

Second, “I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust’” (Psalm 91:2). This passage challenges us to boldly declare God’s faithfulness and trust Him fully, regardless of our circumstances.

When we make the intentional decision to remain in God’s shelter (verse 1) and proclaim who He is (verse 2), we can stand firm on the promises outlined in verses 3-16.

Now, what can we do to begin to cultivate this message?

Reflect on Your Faith Journey

1. What does dwelling in the “secret place” mean to you? How have you experienced God’s protection in your life?

2. Psalm 91:2 says, “I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress.” What declaration of faith are you making over your life today?

Apply the Word

3. Think of a time when you trusted God in uncertain circumstances. What promises from scripture helped sustain your faith?

4. How can you encourage someone in your life to remain confident in God’s promises during these challenging times?

5. Do you have a favorite scripture or devotional practice that gives you peace in difficult seasons? Share it with a friend.

6. What steps can we take as a community to stand firm together in our faith during these times?

Challenge for Action

7. This week, meditate on Psalm 91 and write a declaration of trust based on its promises.

8. How can you create your own “secret place” for prayer and reflection in your daily life?

So, Women of the Word, be encouraged! Stay planted in His presence, declare His goodness, and trust Him with all your heart. As you do, you will witness the hand of God moving powerfully on your behalf, even in these uncertain times.

Until next time,
